Crafting the Authentic American Neighborhood
Our goal was to help create a place where neighbors genuinely knew and cared about each other. Habersham’s intentional design choices of gracious porches and minimal setbacks from the sidewalks encourage people to kindly wave or pause to say hello. Residents find opportunities to build relationships within the community as they stroll along quiet, oak-lined streets, scenic walking trails, footbridges and waterfront parks. Everyday activities such as checking your mail at the Post Office or walking your dog can lead to friendly conversations from the front porch or at the Marketplace.
Traditional neighborhood celebrations and holiday gatherings, along with special events, help bring residents and families together each year. There are also thousands of visitors that come to Habersham every year for our Marketplace events like the Beaufort Twilight Run and our annual Habersham Harvest Festival. More informal gatherings like homeowner cookouts and block parties accompany neighborhood-wide events such as the July 4th Parade or the Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch ensure there’s a full calendar of events for all ages.
New homeowners are easily introduced to the Welcome and Social Committees that are resident-led and help bring exciting events, engaging presentations, and interactive opportunities to the community.

Charming little community with some great dining options. We visited during the Fall festival…what a wonderful event.
There is definitely pride of ownership apparent in every home. It's a destination spot waiting to be discovered.
And have already put the word out to some friends considering building a home in Habersham.

We chose Habersham for many reasons. First and foremost is the diversity of its people and architectural mix.
Now for how much we fell in love with Habersham itself…….we bought a lot, contracted and builder, and plan to stay forever.
We did our research, made plans for a visit and found ourselves the proud owner of a lovely lot less than 24 hours after arriving in Beaufort. And it fits us.
